Food Hub
The goal is to increase access to fresh, healthy, and locally grown food for consumers while supporting local farmers and producers.
One of the key benefits of food hubs is that they can help to reduce food waste and increase the availability of fresh, local produce. The food hub serves as a valuable resource for small-scale producers in the area that may not have the resources or capacity to market and distribute their products effectively on their own.
Our goals are to:
- Increase sales of locally grown produce
- Increase and support local horticulture
- Increase and support local producers

Richard
Food Hub Lead
Richard’s deep understanding of the challenges and need for a resilient local food system is a valuable asset to the Food Hub project. With the increasing demand for local and sustainable food options, it is becoming ever more important to have a system in place that can support the growth of small-scale farmers and ensure that consumers have access to fresh, healthy produce.
Richard’s experience in this area can help to identify and address these challenges, and develop solutions that will enable local food systems to thrive.
