Carbon Tuck Shop
The idea behind the Carbon Tuck Shop was to provide a tangible way for people to understand the impact of their food choices on the environment. By using Carbon credits as currency, customers were able to make the connection between the food they were buying and the carbon emissions associated with its production, transportation, and packaging. The shop featured a school lunch tuck shop, as well as educational materials and activities explaining the carbon footprint of each item. The hope was that by providing this interactive experience, people would be inspired to make more conscious decisions about their food choices and contribute to a more sustainable food system. The Carbon Tuck Shop was a great success and left a lasting impact on the community, sparking conversations and raising awareness about the importance of reducing our carbon footprint in all aspects of our lives.

Carbon Tuck Shop
Carbon Tuck Shop allowed Ged and Mary to start to think and explore food in a different light. This project born from an idea on a conference call quickly developed into a lot more complexed project and has since been recreated in different forms for different needs and audiences.
Mary continues to develop the idea into teaching resources aimed at primary aged children.
